To win this award the submission must show that the research is based on sound technique and method and will need to clearly demonstrate how the research has contributed to decision-making and/or the issues involved.

Entries are welcomed from individuals and/ or group submissions (including professional fellows supported by their employer and host institution)
Professional fellows supported by their employer and host institution (national and international)

Entry into the Research Awards assumes that you are giving permission for IDRC – DEF to provide or request abstracts of your submission for use by IDRC-DEF and our media partners
Where client confidentiality may inhibit the later sharing of outcomes this should be noted on the entry form. This will not necessarily prejudice the entry but we must be aware of this at the time of application
IDRC-DEF may subsequently wish to publish case studies based on the materials provided but specific permission to publish will always be sought from the entrants
