To celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the South Asia and China Regional Office of Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in New Delhi, IDRC and the Digital Empowerment Foundation are making a series of India Social Science Awards to young Indian researchers. These awards celebrate contributions to Indian public policy and practice by young social science scholars in fields like food security, climate change and adaptation, inclusive innovation and science, equitable health systems and social inclusion where IDRC has long extended support.
The IDRC - India Social Science Research Award 2009 recognizes high caliber research that has demonstrated impact on policy and practice, has contributed to the use of social and behavioral science knowledge in policy settings, or has enhanced public understanding of behavioral or social science principles.
